The Flash 2023 Movie – Storyline
When the Flash harnesses his extraordinary abilities to journey through time and reshape history, an extraordinary convergence takes place. User Review:

"The Flash" movie presents a lighthearted tone that diverges from the typical style of the DC Extended Universe, but unfortunately, it struggles to find a cohesive balance between serious moments and constant attempts at lowbrow humor. The visual effects are surprisingly subpar, evoking memories of the outdated CGI found in 2004's "The Polar Express." While there are genuinely impactful scenes that shine when Ezra Miller isn't overplaying for the camera, and the nostalgic nods to Tim Burton's Batman brought moments of childhood joy, "The Flash" ultimately disappoints, failing to live up to its potential.


In my honest opinion, this movie falls short, continuing the trend of disappointments from the DC Universe. Despite my hopeful anticipation, it feels like everything presented in "The Flash" has been done before and executed much better by the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The storyline is average, the screenplay lacks depth, and even the special effects leave much to be desired.


Ezra Miller does put in effort, but his portrayal of the Flash feels one-dimensional. It's unclear whether the issue lies with the script, the direction, or simply Miller's acting that fails to evoke empathy for the Flash's emotional struggles. It should have resonated with me, but sadly, it didn't.


Were it not for Keaton's reprisal of Batman, I wouldn't have considered watching this film. And as expected, Michael Keaton remains the sole highlight in this messy production. He effortlessly embodies the role of Batman, reminding us that he truly is the definitive Batman.
