User Review:

What an opportunity missed with this show. It had a strong start, introducing a fascinating concept that was well executed in the first few episodes. The premise of a colossal man like Audrey the giant being kept isolated from society by his family for the first 20 years of his life was intriguing, drawing viewers in with captivating visuals and skillful direction that effectively portrayed his giant stature. However, my disappointment arose around the fourth episode when the storyline took a regrettable turn, delving into themes of "black lives matter," demonizing capitalism, and promoting a narrative that portrays the white man as the antagonist. It's disheartening to witness such potential squandered in a show that initially displayed promising elements. Despite a well-handled and comical sex scene, I cannot recommend the show as it swiftly descended downhill.

Although I genuinely enjoy this show and appreciate the talented cast, writers, and director, I cannot overlook the abrupt ending. I understand there may be external factors like a writer's strike, but elongating a second season that falls flat and fails to reward the creators and cast with proper residuals only exacerbates the problem. The show would have been better suited as a single season; the creator seems to lack sufficient ideas to warrant a second season, which will likely result in a subpar outcome once it's produced.

Merely having seven hour-long episodes does not qualify as a full season. This show, at best, has room for two or three more episodes, and I worry about how Amazon will stretch it out to create a complete new season.
